1st Annual Dan McNeal Family Fun Day - Rescheduled to Saturday, April 27, 2013!
The 1st Annual Dan McNeal Family Fun Day, originally scheduled to be held on the Loyola Blakefield Campus on Sunday June 24, 2012, will be rescheduled. We are excited to bring you new experiences when we become a part of Loyola’s 2013 Blakefest on Saturday, April 27, 2013. As was originally planned, all proceeds from our event will benefit the Dan McNeal Endowed Scholarship Fund.
Established in 2002 by Mrs. Kathryn McNeal, family members, friends and Loyola Blakefield classmates of Dan from the Class of 1990, this permanent endowment fund seeks to honor the memory and ideals of a man whose life was cut short in the terrorist tragedy of 9/11. Each year a Senior award will be proclaimed and presented at the Mass of the Holy Spirit. The award is to be made to a Senior student who is outstanding in scholarship, leadership and service. The endowment is now funded beyond the original goal of $250,000. It is our hope that we can continue to raise funds to support another scholarship and possibly a memorial in Dan’s name on campus.
Thank you for your support, and we hope to see you in April, 2013!
