Grades 9 - 12 Overview

The grades 9 - 12 program provides learning for life, both in and out of the classroom. Loyola provides a rigorous college preparatory curriculum with emphasis on encouraging a thirst for knowledge by promoting critical and creative thinking and opportunities to venture beyond the campus with service outings, co-curricular competitions, performances, athletic events and independent study projects in the senior year. Loyola faculty members engage students and encourage them to develop a thirst for knowledge, individual accountability and personal responsibility. Students are guided toward becoming self-motivated, organized, independent and conscientious scholars. All students are challenged to excel at the highest levels possible and many enroll in Honors and Advanced Placement courses. Teachers live the mission and unlock students’ potential while inspiring curiosity and engaging in thoughtful dialogue with them. Strong curricula and attentive mentoring are the anchors of the college preparatory program at Loyola Blakefield. Assisting students in finding the right match for their abilities and goals as they pursue higher education is a priority. Loyola graduates are equipped with the necessary skills to continue their learning at distinguished colleges and universities throughout the country.
