Reconnecting Alumni to Blakefield
One of the busiest Alumni Associations in Maryland, the Loyola Blakefield Alumni Association fosters friendly relations among graduates of the school and promotes the spiritual, mental, and moral welfare. The Association keeps alive the school’s influence, advances its interests, perpetuates its traditions and provides moral and financial support.
The Association contributes the majority of the funds raised to an endowed scholarship fund. Those funds are raised through a variety of activities throughout the year. Most notably those events include the Homecoming Bull Roast, Taste of Blakefield Wine Tasting, Loyola Golf Open, and the Blakefield Tennis Tournament.
The Association also sponsors the Rev. Joseph Kelley, S.J. Medal which is awarded each year at Commencement to a Blakefield Alumnus, outstanding by reason of his service in civic, business, and religious life.
The Alumni Board meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month in the Knott Conference Room in Knott Hall. All alumni are welcome to participate in the meetings.
