Vision: Loyola Blakefield will distinguish itself as one of the country’s finest Catholic schools by enriching our Ignatian, formational academic and co-curricular programs; constantly pursuing excellence & innovation; and improving affordability and access.

Our Strategic Plan seeks growth in 5 key areas via 19 strategic initiatives:

  • Jesuit Identity, Ignatian Mission & Formation

      • Expand Campus Ministry and Ignatian Service Programming
      • Expand Mission and Identity programs to deepen Ignatian formation of faculty, staff, and coaches, and more formally evaluate their effectiveness
      • Grow as a center of faith in our region
  • Academic Excellence

      • Improve the Middle School learning environment and enhance programming
      • Consistent with Cura Personalis, introduce more individualized learning programs to better assess each student's unique needs, offer more customized educational approaches that challenge each student to realize his fullest potential, and develop in students higher-order skills
      • Strengthen college counseling resources
      • Encourage teachers' and students' responsible use of technology across the curriculum and establish Loyola as a leader in its ethical application
      • Strengthen Professional Development for faculty and staff
  • Intentional, Formational Co-Curricular Programs

      • Designate a single point person to coordinate all non-Athletic co-curriculars
      • Ensure activities have appropriate space and resources
      • Increase accessibility and visibility of programs for current and prospective students
      • Strengthen interscholastic athletics
  • Leading Edge Facilities & Technology

      • Construct a new LEED-certified facility to meet expanding Middle School needs; provide flexible space for multi-media and the performing arts; and support STEAM programs
      • Complete the upgrade to technology infrastructure currently underway and introduce new technology to the classroom in a thoughtful way
      • Continue attending to deferred maintenance
  • Financial Strength & Affordability

    • Manage the school's annual finances to achieve short and long term objectives
    • Determine and implement an optimal long-term tuition and financial aid strategy to sustain the school and make Loyola more affordable to students of all socio-economic backgrounds
    • Increase annual fundraising and undertake a capital campaign to fund strategic priorities and to double the size of the endowment available for scholarships
    • Building on the brand work already begun, formulate a comprehensive marketing plan to support enrollment and fundraising
