Three Incoming Dons Named 2022 Knott Scholars

We are pleased to announce that three students entering our 9th grade this fall have been named among the 2022 recipients of the prestigious Knott Scholarships. The scholarships, funded by the Marion Burk Knott Scholarship Fund and the Marion I. and Henry J. Knott Scholarship Fund, cover four-year, full tuition in the Catholic school of the scholar’s choosing. Since its inception in 1981, the Knott Scholarship Funds have provided support for more than 1,600 scholars. These students have also been invited to take part in our Ignatian Honors Program, which is designed for students who demonstrate the desire and ability to read extensively, to make connections between academic subjects, and to generate personal insight through critical and creative thinking. Students selected to the program are intellectually curious, independently motivated, and eager to discuss ideas with peers.
 

About Knott Scholarship Funds
The Knott Scholarship Funds allow academically talented Catholic students who reside in parts of the Archdiocese of Baltimore to compete for scholarships to attend Catholic schools. The Knotts wanted the beneficiaries of these scholarships to use the gift of a Catholic education to give back to the Church and the community by sharing their talents in whatever forms possible. Knott Scholars are encouraged to participate in service and networking opportunities beyond formal classroom learning, helping students to become leaders in the community.
