Indoor Track Finds Recent Success at MIAA Championships & Qualifying for Nationals
Congratulations to our Indoor Track team for their recent success. At Georgetown Prep on Saturday, Jan. 21, Maurice Ghee '24 officially qualified for the Nike Indoor Nationals, held in New York City this March, with a 6-foot high jump. He joins the 4 x 800 relay team of Jackson Kodenski '23, Carter Bruns '23, Andrew Rowan '24, and Sean Wilson '24.
Additionally, our Dons had some outstanding performances at the MIAA Indoor Track Championships last Friday. The 4 x 800 relay team of Kodenski, Wilson, Rowan, and Bruns were crowned champions, while Jack Wachter '24 won his third consecutive pole vault championship with a school record leap of 13 feet.
Also medaling for the Dons were Ghee in the high jump and Bruns in the 3200m, both placing third. JV championships were won by Daniel McCormick '26 in the long jump and Brendan Karwacki '24 in the pole vault.
