Our 8th annual Day of the Don proved once again the strength and generosity of the Loyola Blakefield community, raising more than
24 hours to support our mission of forming Men for Others.
With participation from alumni, families, faculty, staff, and friends from across generations, this year’s giving day was a resounding success. From early morning momentum to a powerful late-night surge, benefactors rallied around our shared commitment to providing an exceptional Jesuit education rooted in faith, scholarship, and service.

This year our alumni truly led the way, with an astounding 488 total gifts - a 30% increase over last year. The
Class of 1990 once again led the way, gathering donations from 59 Dons, a whopping 40% of the entire class. Making their first entrance into our Top-5 alumni giving classes is the
Class of 2003 with 29% class participation.
Additionally, thanks to an anonymous benefactor, when we reached our goal of $100,000, they matched with an extremely generous gift of another $100,000 supporting our incredible Ignatian educators. While the
Day of the Don directly supports our students, none of it would be possible without our faculty and staff who embody a dedicated vocation to teaching that reflects our Jesuit mission, nurturing young men to become intellectually competent, open to growth, committed to justice, and grounded in faith.
Of course, the true winners out of
Day of the Don are the Dons themselves. Funds raised from this effort benefit
every Loyola Don, from bolstering co-curricular activities, service and spiritual retreats, to providing financial assistance and scholarships, and so much more to support the entire Loyola experience. Thanks to all who donated, shared, and championed Loyola as we made this Day of the Don another tremendous success.
