Attire 4 Hire Clothing Drive - Day 2

Clean out those closets and support the Loyola Blakefield Alumni Association’s annual Attire 4 Hire Clothing Drive, benefiting the Franciscan Center of Baltimore and Dress For Success Greater Baltimore! We are proud to once again partner with Notre Dame Preparatory School, while welcoming our new partners Maryvale Preparatory School and Mercy High School.

Donations will be accepted on Saturday, February 20th, and Sunday, February 21st, between 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Drop-off will take place in front of Knott Hall.

Items Needed: Lightly-used suits, dress pants, dress shirts, neckties, and dress shoes for men. Interview appropriate suits, blouses, separates, shoes, and scarves for women.

Attire 4 Hire is the first formalized program in Baltimore City that provides professional clothing free of charge to economically disadvantaged men who would not otherwise be able to afford it. The mission of this program is to provide these men with an increased sense of confidence and self-worth that comes from being “dressed for success.” Clients can receive a free comprehensive outfit including a suit, tie, belt, socks, shoes, and undergarments for job interviews, graduations, court dates, and other important life events. They also receive clothes for everyday work once hired.

Dress For Success Greater Baltimore aims to offer solutions to break the cycle of poverty as part of a global movement for change, empowering women to obtain safer and better futures. They provide professional attire to secure employment as well as programs to assist clients in preparing for the interview.
