Jesuit Ministry

Liturgy & Prayer

As members of the Body of Christ, the Loyola Blakefield community is called to actively and consciously participate in the liturgies of the Church through our presence, ritual action, prayer, silence and song. Ignatian Spirituality teaches us that we’re created “to praise, reverence, and serve God.” This is made easier when we acknowledge and experience the importance of prayer and the sacraments in our lives. Students, Faculty, and Staff gather once a month to celebrate liturgy as a united community of Faith. Each afternoon, our community pauses its work to show gratitude for the day’s blessings by praying the Examen.

Our Jesuit priests offer a daily mass at 7:20 AM in the Our Lady of Montserrat Chapel. All are welcome to attend.
