The Blakefield Players present The Thirty-Nine Steps

The Blakefield Players presented their final production of the season, a comic adaptation of the Hitchcock thriller, The Thirty-Nine Steps, from May 10–13. The play, which features lightning-quick costume changes as actors switch between multiple roles, is a spoof of the suspense genre. Joey Ghirardelli ’19 starred as the hapless everyman, Richard Henney, who is falsely accused of murder and must travel to Scotland to prove his innocence.  Will LaMoure ’19, played the over-zealous villain, Professor Jordan, and Zach Durkin ’20 was the dim-witted pursuing policeman Chief Inspector Albright. The cast of 18 also featured female students from Maryvale Preparatory and Notre Dame Preparatory. View photos of the show below.
