Student-Athlete of the Week (April 10–17)

The ace on the mound for varsity baseball this year, Matt had dominating performances in two key MIAA conference wins during the week of April 10–17. He began the week controlling and silencing then #2-ranked Gaels in a complete game shutout, recording 12 strikeouts and only allowing 3 hits. He finished the week by relieving a continuation game at St. Mary’s and getting the win scattering 5 hits and 1 run over 6 innings and striking out 9 batters. His stats for the week of April 10–17 were 13 IP, 8 H, 1 ER, and 21 strikeouts. "Matthew has been a key component in this team's resurgence and our 7-game conference winning streak," said Coach Mike Kelly.
