New SGA Announced for 2019–20 School Year

The following Dons were recently elected by their peers to serve the Student Government Association for the 2019–20 school year.

President: Bennett Gioioso '20
Bennett has been at Loyola since the 6th grade and has played soccer (7th), basketball (7–12), and lacrosse (7-12). Most recently, he joined the Boosters Club this year. Next year, he plans on getting the SGA much more involved throughout the course of the year. "I want to put together new events and continue the most popular events from recent years," said Bennett. "Overall I just want to lift up the school spirit next year."

VP of Clubs and Activities: Conor Nicholas '20
Conor has been a member of both varsity football and rugby. He also helps out with the Creative Writing Club and leads retreats with the Christian Service Office. "My goal for next year is to try and create clubs that are in popular demand," said Conor. "If there are enough people who want to create a club, I don’t see why we can’t create it. I also want to create clubs that will be sustainable at Loyola and hopefully last longer than next year's administration."

VP of Communications: John Staugaitis '20
John has played soccer and lacrosse at the 8th grade, freshman, JV, and varsity levels and served as captain of the JV lacrosse team. He is also a member of Loyola's chapter of the National Honor Society and has served as a freshman and sophomore retreat leader. "I am looking forward to better connecting the SGA with the rest of the Loyola community next year," said John.

VP of Service: Will Stocksdale '21
A member of the swim team and Loyola Blakefield Aquatics, Will also serves as manager for varsity water polo. Next year, he plans to continue promoting current service projects, including the food and blood drives, while also integrating new service opportunities throughout the school year. "Together with the other SGA members, we all have a goal of establishing a more active SGA in the school community," said Will.
