Wellness Committee Receives $2,000 in Tuition Funding

The Loyola Blakefield Wellness Committee, which consists of School Nurse Kelly Klug, Administrative Assistant to the President Pru Tucker, and HR Manager Gina Fischer, recently attended the Association of Independent Maryland & DC Schools (AIMS) and Educators Benefit Services Healthier Together Wellness Symposium in Silver Spring. Our Wellness Committee has already received more than $10,000 over the past two years for their work towards wellness initiatives for our faculty, staff, and students.

Based on new initiatives that were implemented this year, as well as feedback received from our community, the committee was awarded $2,000 towards tuition funding for the 2019-20 school year. This funding will be presented to a Loyola Blakefield student who best exemplifies healthy habits of the "WellEducated" Wellness Program. Loyola Blakefield was one of six participating AIMS schools selected by an independent committee for exceeding the wellness standards established by Educators Benefit Services. Thanks to these ladies for making our campus a healthier one.
