Loyola Volleyball Travels to Puerto Rico for Jesuit Schools Tournament

Our volleyball team traveled to Puerto Rico from October 17-20 for their second annual Jesuit Schools Volleyball Tournament with McQuaid Jesuit (Rochester, NY), Canisius High School (Buffalo, NY), and host school Colegio San Ignacio de Loyola (San Juan, Puerto Rico). Our Dons also had the opportunity to stay with host families and received a pretty good taste of Puerto Rican culture.

Varsity Volleyball finished the regular season 13-3 in a three-way tie for first place. Due to tiebreaker rules, the team is the #2 seed, earning a bye into the semifinals. Their semifinal match will take place at Mount St. Joseph High School on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 6:30 p.m. against the winner of the Calvert Hall/St. Paul quarterfinal match.

JV Volleyball dominated the competition this season, compiling 15 wins with only 2 losses. The boys will host Gilman for the JV championship on Thursday, Oct. 31, at 4 p.m.
