School Blood Drive Highlights

We held our first School Blood Drive of 2020 last Friday in the Four-Court Gym. Thanks to our community, we were able to collect 53 units of blood from 60 donors—36 of whom were first-time donors—to potentially save up to 159 lives. Donors included students, faculty, staff, parents, and even a few alumni.

Additionally, we have a few super donors on campus. Mr. Josh Poole of our Business Office has donated over 16 gallons of blood and Mr. Jim Katchko has donated almost 11 gallons. Also, Michael Jenkins '83, P '18, stopped by to donate and received his 10-gallon pin. Michael has been donating blood since his days as a student at Loyola.

Thanks to all of our donors, volunteers, and the American Red Cross for making this possible. Also, a special shout-out to our Mothers' Club for keeping everyone fed and hydrated with breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day!
