Loyola Robotics Qualifies for VEX World Championship

Congratulations to Loyola Blakefield Robotics who made it to the semifinals of the VEX Robotics Maryland State Championship on Saturday at Dundalk High School. Team 7135D (Harris Kokkinokos, Jeremy Hannon, Matt Gwin, Austin Maultsby, and Brendan Reiners) went 7-0 during qualification rounds, and their performance earned them an invite to attend the VEX Robotics World Championship in Louisville, KY, from April 22-25 with teams from 29 other countries. This is the third time in seven years that Loyola Robotics has earned an invitation to the World Championship.

The team will also attend the CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship in Iowa from April 2-4, along with Jordan Andrews and Chris Magaha (Team 7135G) who qualified for the U.S. Open earlier this season for their performance in the Robot Skills Challenge.
