Several Dons Help Organize Baltimore Student Diversity Leadership Conference

Jordan Andrews ‘21, Mateen Kane ‘21, Kevin Lankford ‘21, Toni Akintola ‘22, and Farrell Gregory ’22 helped organize and took part in this year's Association of Independent Maryland and DC Schools Baltimore Student Diversity Leadership Conference, which was hosted virtually on Saturday, Nov. 14. The conference was attended by over 400 students from AIMS schools throughout the region. Our Dons were heavily involved with creating the program over the past three months.

Jordan Andrews served as the leader of the Black Tech Matters group, which headed up tech support for the entire conference. They receive special mentorship from the tech companies who worked with the conference. Mateen Kane served as a moderator, introducing and closing out the conference. Also, English teacher Mr. Joe LaBella and Toni Akintola participated in the panel titled “Black Voices Matter.”
