LBAA Hosts Record-Breaking Attire 4 Hire Drive

The Loyola Blakefield Alumni Association held its annual Attire 4 Hire Clothing Drive this past weekend. This year, the LBAA was joined by alumnae from Notre Dame Prep, Maryvale Prep, and Mercy High School as the school communities collected slightly-used men's business attire for The Franciscan Center's Attire 4 Hire Program and women's business attire for Dress For Success Greater Baltimore. Over the course of two days, members from each school collected, sorted, and boxed enough clothes to fill three and a half Loyola school buses. This total nearly doubled last year’s event, which delivered two packed school buses.

The final delivery took place on Monday, Feb. 22, in weather conditions which included snow and sleet as LBAA volunteers Rob Utz '05, Brett Holmes '07, Chris Rabbu '94, along with JT Dean from Loyola’s Development Office, made their way around Baltimore City.

Check out the coverage from WBAL & WJZ.

Many thanks to Rob Utz and Brett Holmes for their continued help in coordinating this special community-wide event. Also, a huge thank-you to the NDP, Maryvale, and Mercy communities and volunteers for helping to make this the most successful Attire 4 Hire Drive to date!
