Loyola Swimming & Diving Win National Catholic Championships

Congratulations to our Swimming & Diving Dons who were crowned National Catholic Champions after competing in the 2022 National Catholic Swimming & Diving Championships at Loyola University Maryland on January 15 & 16. This is their first National Catholic Championship in seven years, and it was a true team effort.

Divers Oliver Black '25 and Luke Kontos '23 were vital to the program’s win as they dove Sunday morning and pushed the team to a 20-point lead over Gonzaga College High School. The program maintained that lead through Sunday afternoon and won by a total of 23 points.

Full results from the meet can be found here. In addition, Head Coach and Aquatics Director Nick Breschi '13 was named National Catholic Championship Coach of the Meet. The Dons have two more dual meets against McDonogh and Gilman before MIAA Championships on Saturday, Feb. 5.
