Several Dons Attend IFTJ 2022

Several of our Dons were accompanied by Mrs. Williams, Ms. Ciccarone, Mr. Medina, Mrs. Szczepaniak, and Mr. White to Washington, DC, between October 22–24 for the 25th Annual Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice. This is the largest annual Catholic social justice conference in the U.S., hosted by the Ignatian Solidarity Network.

The theme for this year’s conference was "Rooted and Renewing," and our Dons had the chance to hear from several keynote speakers including Olga Segura, Bill McKibbin, Maka Black Elk, and The Peace Poets. They also networked with students from other Jesuit institutions from all over the country. To conclude the weekend, they attended a Public Witness on the National Mall and visited Senator Van Hollen’s office to advocate for more just immigration policies.
