THREE DONS NAMED NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP FINALISTS
For the second consecutive year, Loyola has three National Merit Scholarship Finalists. Congratulations to seniors Drew Barker, Paul Kinkopf, and Jack McErlean. Out of 1.6 million juniors who took the PSAT last year, 16,000 were named semifinalists in September of which 15,000 were named finalists this February.
Drew, Paul, and Jack are now qualified to win one of the 7,500 National Merit Scholarships awarded each year. Beginning in March and continuing to mid-June, the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) will be notifying the 7,500 winners, so stay tuned! Loyola is the only boys school in the region to qualify three National Merit Scholarship Finalists in the past two years.
