Kenny Lewis '17 might have wished for a better ending to the season for the varsity basketball team than a loss to Mount Saint Joseph in the Baltimore Catholic League quarterfinals last week, but he can't be disappointed about his career at Loyola. During his final game, Lewis recorded his 1,040
th career point, making him the 12
th highest scorer in school history and earning a spot as one of only 12 Dons to break the millennium mark (see list below).
Lewis made the varsity squad his sophomore year where he averaged 6.1 points per game. He saw more playing time his junior year as he averaged 11.9 points per game.
Lewis was most explosive his senior year, averaging 20.6 points per game and scoring 578 of his total career points during his final season. He had four games with at least 30 points including a career game-high of 45 points
against Calvert Hall on February 3. He also scored 38 against St. Frances Academy on January 23, with 32 of those points coming in the second half alone.
Lewis will attend West Virginia Wesleyan College next year to play DII football.
