LOYOLA ALUMNI ACTING COMPANY PRESENTS "PICASSO AT THE LAPIN AGILE"

The LATER Acting Company is delighted to announce their second production, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, written by comedic great Steve Martin. First produced by the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in 1996, this comedy won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Best-Off Broadway Play.

Read a brief synopsis of the play:

In 1904 Paris, Albert Einstein walks into a bar. He is to meet a lady, but instead gets into a fight with Picasso about the roles of art, science, and inspiration in everyday life. Soon, the colorful characters who inhabit the bar join in the argument. They even inspire a visit from a show stealing blue suede-shoed rock-n-roller from the future.

Picasso marks the directorial debut of LATER co-founder Lance Baldwin '87 who previously starred in the company's inaugural production of Art. Loyola alumni fill out the male roles. This semi-professional acting company in residence, founded in Towson, MD, will be performing in Loyola Blakefield's classic Creaghan Library Theater located in Wheeler Hall on the Loyola Blakefield's campus. Free parking with easy elevator access to the theatre is available on the Chestnut St. parking lot directly off Charles St.

Performance dates are April 28 & 29 and May 5 & 6. Curtain at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $10 for students. There will be a cash bar.

Tickets may be purchased online at loyolablakefield.org/LATER.
