Orientation Week Highlights

From Aug. 28–31, we welcomed back each class to campus for orientation. 

The Class of 2021 had the most action-packed week with Freshman Orientation. They arrived on Monday to tour campus, meet several faculty and staff members, and take part in ice breakers led by upperclassmen where they were able to bond with their fellow Dons. After Monday, they broke into three groups based on homerooms and rotated between spending another day on campus, volunteering at First Fruits Farm in Freeland, MD, where they picked thousands of pounds of corn and potatoes which will be delivered to food pantries and homeless shelters all across Maryland, and the ropes course at the Claggett Center in Adamstown, MD, where they took part in more team-building activities.



The Class of 2022 traveled to NorthBay Adventure Camp for two days to take part in their 8th Grade Retreat:
