Loyola Community Sends Off Football Team at Annual Turkey Bowl Pep Rally

The Loyola Blakefield community gathered in the Joseph E. Peters '55 Performance Gymnasium during the final period of school on Nov. 21 to send our varsity football team off to the 98th Annual Turkey Bowl in style. Highlights included various skits and videos from our upperclassmen, an interview with Head Football Coach Anthony Zehyoue, and a segment honoring Athletic Director Michael Keeney '65, who will be stepping down at the end of this school year. At the end of the ceremony, Keeney, along with the several alumni in attendance, led the entire community in singing the fight song. This was also the first year the pep rally was live streamed. View the entire event below. The day concluded with the students dismantling the faculty and staff in the 14th Annual Faculty/Student Flag Football All-Star Game after school.
