Loyola Squash Finishes Season on High Note

Loyola Blakefield Squash celebrated some end-of-season accomplishments last week. Last Thursday, our middle school squash team won their division at the Middle School Squash Championships hosted by Meadow Mill Athletic Club. Over the weekend, the varsity squad traveled to Philadelphia to take part in the 2018 High School Squash Nationals, where more than 180 teams from across the country competed. Loyola advanced all the way to the Division VII finals after defeating Needham, Brookline, and Wakefield High Schools, but lost to Calvert Hall on Sunday evening in a close championship match. Thanks to Joe Lacy, Ed Brown, Ned Sparrows, and Bob Everd for continuing to invest their time and energy into this program.
