Track & Field Dons Medal Twice at Indoor Nationals

Two Track & Field Dons earned medals (top 6 finish) at the 2018 New Balance Indoor Nationals in New York City from March 9–11.

After qualifying for their respective events during the indoor season, Aaron Ray '21, Ty Trinh '20, Brodie Holmes '18, and Camden Gilmore '19 traveled to The Armory's New Balance Track and Field Center last weekend, accompanied by Coach John Davenport '09.

On Friday morning, Camden captured 4th place in the Emerging Elite 2-Mile Run. Camden ran a 9:23.95, which passes Chris Knott '99. He trails only Matt Jablonski '11, Tyler Spear '14, and Michael Wegner '15 for the school record in this event.

Later that day, Ty took 4th place in the Emerging Elite Triple Jump with a new personal record of 46'3", marking only the second time in school history where we’ve had two medalists at Nationals in the same year.

Brodie placed 40th overall in the 200m Dash on Friday, and Aaron finished 19th in the Freshman 60m Dash on Sunday.

Congratulations to all of our Dons for their hard work during the indoor season.
