AP Environmental Science Students Visit USCG Yard at Curtis Bay

Mr. Bromwell's AP Environmental Science students visited the United States Coast Guard Yard at Curtis Bay on Thursday, March 15, where they learned about the Yard’s plant environmental compliance, how the members of the U.S. Coast Guard ensure that vessels entering Baltimore Harbor are compliant with environmental regulations, and how the USCG is using renewable energy on the plant. Their host for the day was fellow Don, Lt. Charles ‘Ridge’ Lortz '10, who is the current Ship Superintendent at the Yard.
