Established in 1960, Loyola's varsity lacrosse team has won 14 league championships, including four titles since 2000—more than any other school in the league. Loyola lacrosse players are scattered all over the NCAA, professional, and world lacrosse landscape. Some notable Dons lacrosse alumni include Tewaaraton winner Steele Stanwick '08, UVA national champion and PLL player Ryan Conrad '15, University of Maryland graduate, NCAA defenseman of the year, and PLL player Matt Dunn '12, along with 2022 University of Maryland national champions Jack Koras ’20, Charlie Koras ’21, and Kevin Tucker ’21. Loyola currently has over 65 players competing across the NCAA college lacrosse landscape and all are making significant impacts on and off the fields as men for and with others.

Loyola Blakefield Lacrosse fields five teams (Varsity, Junior Varsity, Frosh/Soph, 8th Grade, and 7th Grade) in the ultra-competitive MIAA 'A' Conference, considered by many to be the best high school lacrosse league in the country. The 2023 varsity season looks to be promising with 27 Dons returning from a very young 2022 squad. Loyola Blakefield Lacrosse is a very proud tradition and was built upon the commitment and sacrifice of all Dons who have been a part of the program.
