Application Checklist

Applications for the 2022–23 school year will go live on August 16, 2021.

Middle School

  • Apply

    Complete our online application, which requires the creation of an online account. There is a $50 application fee for each applicant. The deadline for applications is December 17, 2021. If you are applying after that date, please contact our Admissions Office.
  • Don for a Day!

    A vital component of the admissions process is a visit to our campus. After completing your son’s online application, you will receive access to schedule your son’s day-long visit to campus. Before your son’s day begins, each family will be invited to a brief reception followed by the opportunity to spend time learning about Loyola with a faculty or staff member in our community.
  • Middle School Entrance Exam

    Candidates for admission to Loyola’s middle school (6th, 7th, and 8th grade) must take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or submit Scantron test results. Loyola Blakefield will be an ISEE testing center on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Registration will open September 2021.

    Students are not required to take the test here at Loyola. The test is offered at Baltimore area schools throughout the fall. You can find a list of the other test locations, dates, and times, as well as the online registration form on the ERB website.

    Test results must be received no later than January 18, 2022.
  • Submit Records Request & Common Referral Form

    In order for an applicant’s prior school to release his transcripts and standardized test results, parents must submit to the school Loyola’s Request for Records Form, authorizing their release. This form must be signed by the parent and should be submitted to the applicant’s current school principal or counselor. Records must be received by January 3, 2022. Applicants from an AIMS school may also use the AIMS Common Referral Form.
  • Apply for Aid (optional)

    Loyola strives to provide financial assistance to qualifying families. In order to be eligible for financial aid consideration, please complete the Facts Grant and Aid Assessment (FACTS) online by January 2, 2022.

Upper School

  • Don for a Day!

    A vital component of the admissions process is a visit to our campus. After completing your son’s online application, you will receive access to schedule your son’s day-long visit to campus. Before your son’s day begins, each family will be invited to a brief reception. Once your son’s host picks him up for the day, parents are welcome to stay for Coffee and Conversation where you will have an opportunity to learn more about Loyola.
  • High School Placement Test

    Candidates for admission to Loyola’s 9th grade must take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). The test is offered at Baltimore area schools throughout the fall, including here at Loyola Blakefield on Saturday, December 11, 2021. Candidates can take the test at any of the locations being offered and indicate Loyola Blakefield as one of the schools for scores to be sent to. All candidates should visit the HSPT registration page to register for the test.

    Test results must be received no later than January 2022.

    Families with applicants currently attending an Archdiocesan of Baltimore school will have their records automatically sent to Loyola upon registering for the HSPT exam. Applicants who are not currently attending an Archdiocesan of Baltimore school must submit Loyola’s Request for Records Form to their current school, authorizing the release of his transcripts and standardized test results. This form must be signed by the parent and should be submitted to the applicant’s current school principal or counselor. Records must be received by January 3, 2022. Applicants from an AIMS school may also use the AIMS Common Referral Form.
