Loyola Blakefield Names New Varsity Golf Coach

Ryan Keeney has been named Loyola Blakefield's new Varsity Golf Coach. Keeney has been an assistant coach at Loyola since 2019. During that season, the Dons captured their first MIAA championship in 31 years. In 2021, the team made it back to the championship match. As head coach, Keeney hopes to build off of the recent success of the program and ensure that it is an annual contender. "I am very excited to grow the golf program,” said Keeney. “I have been very fortunate to be a part of the Loyola Blakefield brotherhood. It is a tremendous honor to lead these great young men into the future."

 

Keeney brings a wide array of expertise to the role. He currently serves as Director of Golf Instruction at the Hunt Valley Country Club where he leads the planning and development of instructional programming, provides swing analysis, and manages a range of clinics and camps for golfers of all ages. He previously served as Assistant Golf Professional at Fox Hollow Golf Course. In that role, he managed daily operations, taught lessons, conducted clinics, and helped maintain policies, rules, and regulations.
