“It's an amazing experience,” said Reyes. “I've wanted to win a MIAA championship for the last four years of my life really, and to cap it off my senior year just feels amazing. Especially, when a year ago at this same tournament, I suffered an injury that cost me the rest of my season."

Reyes looks forward to competing at States and National Preps in the upcoming weeks. "It's my senior year, so I want to leave it all on the mat in these last two tournaments.”

Other notable Loyola performances included Deshawn Strand who finished third in the 103-lb. wieght class, Ryan Thomas who finished fifth in the 120-lb. weight class, and Ian Takas who finished fifth in the 182-lb. weight class.
