JV Indoor Track has been very competitive in the MIAA, the best track conference in the area, usually finishing in the top three each season. The team's most recent championship came in 2015. Loyola competes in events at the school's own four-court gym and at the Prince George's County Sports and Learning Complex. The team takes part in several MIAA-only meets per season, but also competes in local invitationals against some of the best teams and athletes in the mid-Atlantic area. A unique thing about track and field is that the JV and the Varsity practice and train together so the younger athletes learn the ropes from the older ones. This also promotes a unity in the program from grades nine to twelve. Running is a wonderful sport and lifetime activity and we encourage all students interested in track and field to seek out Mr. Cucuzzella or Mr. Albornoz on campus.
