Dons fall to the Friars

Loyola high school lost 2-1  at home in varsity soccer to Curley. After 0-0 halftime score the Don's went up 1-0 on a nice finish from Matthew Lala with the assist from Marcei Desormeaux. Curley evened the score on the go from Alejandra Arbelaez off a flick from a long throw in from the far right corner of the 18 yard box. Curley scored their second goal of the game when Matt Brummett  scored off a redirect from the free kick in the box. Both teams exchanged opportunities to score in the final 10 minutes of the play. Goalkeepers Chris Karpovich and Nathan Wdzieczkowski stood tall to make excellent saves.
