Loyola Golf Captures Team Portion of MIAA Individuals Championship

Our varsity golf team captured the team portion of the MIAA Individuals Championship at Eagle's Nest Country Club on April 17 after Trent Geritz '19 put away a 6-foot putt to birdie the final hole. The team portion consists of having the best all-around team score for all individual golfers throughout the entire tournament. Congratulations to seniors Pierce Shearin, Ethan Jones, Matt Smolka, and Trent Geritz for making it to the final round, and to first-year head coach Mike Messina '86 for leading the Dons. The team resumes play this week with a match against Gilman as they set their sights on the MIAA team title in May.
