New Assistant Director of Admissions Named

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Sina Cook as our new Assistant Director of Admission. A proud parent of two Loyola Dons (Hunter ’21 and Sam ’24), Cook brings a variety of experience to the role, which includes serving as Assistant Director of Development (Grad School) at UNC Chapel Hill, Assistant Director of the Annual Fund at the University of Richmond, and as a member of the alumnae/alumni relations team at Notre Dame of Maryland University.

She has also worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at Grace United Methodist Preschool. An active volunteer in several local organizations, Cook served as the President of the Loyola Blakefield Mothers’ Club in 2020–21 and Vice President in 2019–20. A graduate of Maryvale Preparatory School, Sina attended Randolph-Macon College where she earned a B.A. in Sociology.

Stephen Abrams, Loyola’s newly appointed Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management, is eager to welcome her as a key member of the admissions team. “I am thrilled to welcome Sina to the Admissions office,” said Abrams. “Mrs. Cook brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective that will be instrumental to the work our office is doing to engage prospective families across the region.”

Cook will officially begin her role in July. “I am excited to join the Loyola admissions team and look forward to building relationships with prospective families and sharing my love for the Ignatian values and traditions that Loyola offers, as well as our mission to form men for others,” said Cook. “I was introduced to Loyola as a teenager when my brother attended the school. His Jesuit formation made a lasting impact on our family, and I am fortunate for my sons to have the opportunity to attend Loyola. As a Loyola parent, I can uniquely and passionately share the Loyola experience.”
