Adam Jones to Serve as Featured Guest Speaker at Frank P. Fischer Fund Benefit Dinner

The Frank P. Fischer Fund steering committee is proud to announce that its featured speaker for the 2022 benefit dinner will be Adam Jones. Originally from San Diego, California, Jones spent 11 years with the Baltimore Orioles, playing a vital role in the team's 2012 and 2014 playoff runs. The five-time MLB All-Star recently completed two seasons as a member of the Orix Buffaloes of the Nippon Professional Baseball league in Japan. His 14-year MLB career also included stops in Seattle and Arizona. Jones currently resides in Spain and will join us via Zoom.

The Frank P. Fischer Fund Benefit Dinner is the primary fundraising event for the Frank P. Fischer Diversity Scholarship Fund, which was founded and is sustained by Loyola’s African-American alumni to provide financial support to African-American students whose families possess a demonstrated financial need and who meet Loyola’s academic standards for admission.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities for the event are currently available via our website at loyolablakefield.org/frank-p-fischer-benefit. It will be held on Saturday, November 12 at 5:00 p.m. at Loyola Blakefield. About Frank Fisher
In the 1960s & '70s, then-Jesuit Frank Fischer took bold steps toward recruiting and preparing African-American students to attend Loyola. Frank was also instrumental in matching funding opportunities to ensure that those who might not otherwise have access to a Loyola education were fully supported.
