Two Dons Receive Regional Honors for 2023 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

We are excited to share that Zach Lyons '23 and Liam Brune '23 have both received regional honors for their submissions to the 2023 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA), which serves as the Maryland regional affiliate for this annual nationwide competition, oversees the important task of collecting and evaluating submissions at the regional level. They announced the regional award winners last week.

Zach received a Gold Key for his short story, "Lunches at Springs," and Honorable Mentions for his two poems, "Strays" and "An Avalanche Sends them Tumbling."

Liam received a Gold Key for his short story, "Broken Wings," and a Silver Key for his science fiction and fantasy submission, "A Public Service Announcement."

Gold Keys are automatically entered into consideration for national Scholastic Awards, which will be announced at the end of March.
