LOYOLA ROBOTICS MAKES IT TO FINALS AT BMORE ROBOTIC MANUFACTURERS CUP

Loyola Robotics traveled to the Baltimore City Robotics Center on Sunday, October 9, to compete in the BMore Robotic Manufacturers Cup, where they fielded 4 out of the 21 total teams. All four Loyola teams made it to the finals, but were defeated by Eleanor Roosevelt High School and Towson High School after their robot malfunctioned (see video below). Still, it was a great showing for Loyola Robotics. View full results from the competition here.

Also, as fate would have it, John Macdonald '14 was in town helping out with the competition. John, who led Loyola Robotics to the Maryland State Robotics Championship during his senior year, is now studying underwater robotics at Cornell University and is currently a member of Cornell’s underwater robotics team, which is ranked third in the nation behind MIT and CalTech. Roll, Robo-Dons, Roll!
