FILM CLUB HOSTS INAUGURAL FILM FESTIVAL

The inaugural Loyola Blakefield Film Festival, organized by the Loyola Film Club, was held in the Father Lloyd George, SJ, Lounge on December 3. After receiving over 40 submissions in three categories—Documentary, Experimental, and Narrative—Film Club members selected 19 films, which were shown to an audience of nearly 60 people. A panel of judges, including Jerry Roe (Loyola), Khalid Ali (Carver), and Beatriz Bufrahi (Baltimore High School Film Fest), selected the following films from each category to win prizes:

Documentary: Orlando by Sage Okolo (Bryn Mawr)

Experimental: Downfall by Marie Panday (Carver)

Narrative: Drone by Brett McLoughlin (Loyola)
