VARSITY BASEBALL DEFEATS CALVERT HALL TO ADVANCE IN MIAA PLAYOFFS
Varsity Baseball rolled past top-seeded Calvert Hall today in extra innings to advance to the winner's bracket final of the MIAA "A" Conference Tournament.
Jack Glock '17 was the hero for the Dons as he delivered a leadoff double in the top of the ninth, which eventually turned into the winning run, and he pitched out of tough jams in both the eighth and ninth innings to earn the win on the mound in relief of his brother Will '18, who started and tossed five strong innings.
Loyola will face three-time defending champion Archbishop Spalding on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. The winner will advance to the championship, which will be played on Sunday at Harford Community College.
