Dons upset the Cardinals

Loyola Dons beat Calvert Hall 2-1 in an exciting Varsity Boys Soccer match at Loyola. After a scoreless first 65 minutes of the game, Calvert Hall opened the scoring off a corner kick, Zack Urbanski headed the into the net after the ball had been cleared then flicked back in. Loyola responded with the tying goal with 4.5 minutes left. Andre Bearzi was taken down by a Calvert Hall player on his way to goal. Marcei Desormeaux stepped up and scored on a wonderfully placed free kick by from 20 yards out in the upper right hand corner. The Dons sealed the victory with 29 seconds left in the game on a header by Ben Gallagher with the assist going to Alex Reed who flicked the ball to Gallagher far post.
Chris Karpovich was huge in net again with 8 saves for the Dons.
Kyle Cooper had 4 saves for Calvert Hall.
