Camden Gilmore '19 Qualifies for Penn Relays

Camden Gilmore '19 has punched his ticket to the prestigious Penn Relays and will race in the 3,000 meter run on Friday, April 27th. Penn relays is the oldest and largest track and field competition in the United States, hosted annually since April 21, 1895 by the University of Pennsylvania at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. He is one of 25 athletes on the East coast to be accepted into the event.

His qualification places him in elite company with a group that includes fellow Loyola distance runners Chris Knott ’99, Matt Jablonski ’11, Tyler Spear ’14 and Michael Wegner ’15. "I am honored just to be considered among those guys because I know how talented they are," said Gilmore. "I was fortunate to get to know Tyler my freshmen year and we continue to stay in touch as my high school career has continued."

Gilmore was also recently named Baltimore Sun Second Team All-Metro for Indoor Track, an honor he received for Cross Country in the fall and Outdoor Track last spring.

Please join us in congratulating Camden and wishing him the best of luck as he prepares for Penn Relays.
