Kevin Flowers '25 Awarded Prestigious Evans Scholarship

Congratulations to Kevin Flowers '25 on being awarded the prestigious Western Golf Association’s Evans Scholarship! The Evans Scholarship, established in 1930 by famed amateur golfer Charles “Chick” Evans Jr., is one of the nation’s most coveted awards for young caddies. It provides full housing and tuition to top universities for students with a strong caddie record who excel in academics, demonstrate strong character, and showcase a commitment to leadership and service. To date, more than 11,500 students nationwide have earned this life-changing scholarship, which reflects the values of hard work, integrity, and perseverance. Kevin, who is also a proud graduate of St. Ignatius Loyola Academy and a recipient of the Fr. William Watters, S.J. Scholarship at Loyola., exemplifies these values in and out of the classroom.

Flowers plans to study kinesiology at University of Maryland (College Park). He will be the first in his family to attend college. “Growing up in a single-parent household shaped my views on education,” he said. “I was taught that hard work and a good education are the keys to achieving your dreams – values that have made me a better student, caddie and athlete.”

Congratulations Kevin!
