This past weekend, the Loyola Blakefield community came together to honor the champions, teams, and leaders who have shaped Dons athletics for generations. The 2026 Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was a night of pride, tradition, and celebration, highlighting the achievements that continue to define the Loyola Blakefield athletic experience.
The evening recognized ten inductees, whose dedication, skill, and leadership have left an enduring impact on their sports, their teammates, and the broader Loyola Blakefield community. Attendees had the opportunity to reflect on the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance that have long been the hallmark of Dons athletics.
In addition to the inductees, the event honored five championship basketball teams from the 1970s—1972, 1975, 1976, 1977, and 1978—celebrating their 50-plus year anniversaries and the legacy they established for future generations of Loyola Blakefield athletes. Their achievements on the court remain a source of pride and inspiration, reminding all in attendance of the lasting impact of teamwork and determination.
We are deeply grateful to all alumni, families, friends, and community members who joined us for this special evening. Your presence and support help sustain the legacy of Loyola Blakefield athletics, ensuring that excellence on and off the field continues to thrive.
Congratulations to the 2026 Hall of Fame inductees and to all those who were honored this weekend. Your accomplishments remind us of the enduring tradition, spirit, and pride that make Loyola Blakefield athletics exceptional.
