Charlie Kay '23 selected for Maryland General Assembly Student Page Program
Congratulations to Charlie Kay '23 who was recently selected as one of 105 Maryland high school seniors to take part in the Maryland General Assembly Student Page Program. During the 2023 Legislative Session (January through April), he will serve two nonconsecutive weeks in Annapolis, where he will shadow legislators and learn more about the legislative process.
Charlie hopes to pursue a career in politics. He has already volunteered on several political campaigns, lobbied Congress for the restoration of asylum at the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice this past October, and attended the BorderLinks service trip to Arizona and Mexico this past summer where he learned about the complex issues of immigration in the Southern United States. He was also named a top ten finalist in the state for the United States Senate Youth Program.
