Loyola Announces New Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach

We are proud to announce that Will Haus is joining the Loyola Blakefield community as Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach. Haus brings with him an impressive legacy--3-time All American and Captain of Duke University Men’s Lacrosse Team, Gold Medalist for Team USA in the 2018 World Games, and most recently the High School Varsity Lacrosse Assistant Coach at Malvern Preparatory School. Haus is currently a Professional Lacrosse League player as well as an academic with a master's in school counseling. Though he grew up in North Carolina, Haus is familiar with Loyola, as his father, John Haus '79, served with Coach Joe McFadden '69 as a former longtime assistant coach.

Haus comes to Loyola Blakefield from a successful 8-year tenure as Assistant Varsity Lacrosse Coach and a school counselor at Malvern Preparatory School in Pennsylvania, whose team just won the 2023 Inter Academic League conference championship. “We are excited that Will Haus will be the new Head Varsity Lacrosse coach at Loyola Blakefield,” says Blake Henry ’98, Loyola Blakefield’s Director of Athletics. “Coach Haus has been a championship player and a championship coach, and most importantly he is an elite builder of young men. We can’t wait for him to begin developing the minds, bodies, and spirits of our student-athletes at Loyola!”

With a unique combination of athletic skill and school counseling experience, Haus will be an asset to Loyola Athletics. “My wife Sylwia and I are extremely excited to join the Loyola community and to be a part of a school that is loved by its students, alumni, faculty, and parents,” Haus says. “I take tremendous pride being able to wear the blue and gold knowing all the hard work alumni have done to set the standards of the program. I am looking forward to working with the current students (and future Dons) to continue to build upon such a rich tradition as well as blaze new trails. Roll Dons Roll!”

Loyola Blakefield Athletics fulfills the mission, vision, and values of our school by forming leaders that serve with and for others, developing the mind, body, and spirit of our student-athletes, and building programs that foster a culture of champions—all for the greater glory of God.
