Take the Stage

The Loyola Blakefield Players present three productions each year for the school community including a drama, a musical, and a comedy. Students audition for each play or musical and then rehearse after school for a six to eight week period before performing on two consecutive weekends for the general public. The Stage Crew builds the scenery for each production and students on crew also serve as the technicians for sound, lights and backstage for each show.

The Blakefield Players Present:
Our Town

Considered one of the greatest American plays ever written, so revelatory for it's time. The story follows life in the small town of Grover’s Corners through three acts: “Daily Life,” “Love and Marriage,” and “Death and Eternity,” join us as we follow the Webb and Gibbs families as their children fall in love, marry, and eventually – in one of the most famous scenes in American theatre – die.
