The Loyola Blakefield Alumni Association hosted its annual Loyola Golf Open at the Hillendale Country Club on Friday, September 20. The sold-out tournament had 116 golfers playing on a picture-perfect day. Several contests tested the golfers' abilities including a “Beat Loyola’s #1 Golfer” hole featuring Matt Smolka '20, closest to the pin, $10,000 hole-in-one, a putting contest, and a long drive contest.
Alumni, parents, and friends of Loyola were well entertained throughout the morning. Erik Keller, Brian Norris, Aaron Marsh, and John McConnell took home this year's foursome gross score championship, while Chris Erdman ‘99, Robert Erdman ‘98, Lou Fiastro, and Nick Lipin ‘05 won the net score championship. Thank you to all of the players, sponsors, volunteers, and the professional staff at Hillendale for making this year’s Loyola Golf Open a huge hit. View photos from the event below.
