Meet Joey

FEATURING:

Joey Yared '26

Four years at Loyola Blakefield taught Joey Yared '26 that growth isn't always measured by the highs alone—it's also shaped by the challenges along the way.

"My time at Loyola has been filled with ups and downs, but at the end of it all, I am proud to say that I've spent my last four years on this beautiful campus," Joey said. "Loyola has given me the unique opportunity to truly enjoy myself in the process of becoming the best person I can be. My favorite thing about being a Don is always having a group of people who are there to support me as I continue into the next phase of my life. I am thankful for this experience and look forward to visiting Loyola in the near future."

This fall, Joey will attend the University of Maryland Honors College, where he plans to major in Neurobiology and Physiology.

Throughout his time at Loyola, Joey built an impressive record of academic achievement. He was recognized as both a Distinctive Scholar and Knott Scholar, and received the C. Ferdinand Sybert Award. His passion for learning also earned him awards in Spanish II, Spanish III, AP Spanish, AP Comparative Politics, and History of Art and Music Appreciation.

As Joey heads to College Park this fall, he does so with a strong academic foundation and an appreciation for the experiences that helped shape both his character and his future goals.
